Consortium members bring a wide-range of experience to support the Healthy Communities Ontario approach and its commitment to promote physical and mental health and prevent disease and injury in Ontario. Key strategies are network building, partnerships and collaboration.
Consortium services
The Consortium provides training, best practice resources and other supports to increase the capacity of communities to work together to build healthy communities. Services respond to a needs assessment survey of more than 450 organizations across Ontario.
The Consortium members collaborate and draw on their collective expertise to bring maximum value to their clients. Together, members offer a comprehensive webinar series, on-site workshops on a variety of topics, referrals and individual consultations.
Role of the HP Hub
The Health Promotion Hub offers webinars and workshops that draw on our specific areas of experience, developed over 25 years. These include: French language services, social determinants of health, health equity, community engagement, partnerships and network development.
Who can benefit from the Consortium services?
Those applying for, or who have received a Healthy Communities Fund grant that provides funding to local and provincial organizations for projects in priority risk factor areas.
Healthy Communities Partnerships that provides coordination and support at the local, regional and provincial levels to link diverse networks and mobilize to create healthy public policy.
