Evaluating: Review

There are several different guidelines to evaluating information you find on the Internet:

1. The Canadian Health Network Health Information Checklists identify key issues to look at in evaluating the quality of health information and to determine whether a website is health promoting.

2. Quality Assessment Approaches such as content vetting, a seal of approval, and providing tools for appraisal are ways of ensuring the quality of health information on the Internet.

3. Finally, follow the Tips for Critical Review to appraise an Internet resource.
