This workbook introduces you to core tools for health promoters working on-line to find health promotion information on websites, in listservs and e-discussion groups, web forums, and through searching strategies and tools.

We will explore:

· Where can you find them?
· How do you know which to trust?
· What can you use them for?

By the end of this workbook, you should be able to:

· Identify different types of online resources and key sites for health promotion,
· Know how to build a search strategy and search the Internet effectively
· Evaluate Internet resources that you find; and
· Use the Internet to support health promotion work
