USENETs or Newsgroups
USENETS or newsgroups are similar
to many electronic bulletin boards. They are
ongoing discussion groups on a huge variety
of topics and issues.
Special software is needed
to subscribe to and use newsgroups, although
the software is generally included with a package
from an ISP or can be downloaded from the Internet.
Your ISP may have a list of newsgroups they
carry.
You can visit http://tile.net,
or Google's Usennet archive and interface at
http://groups.google.com/googlegroups/deja_announcement.html
on the Internet to search
for newsgroups by name or to view a large list
of discussion groups and mailing lists.
